MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently benefit from a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been fulfilling with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a number of small companies in Cornwall presently make money from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this kind of industry going it does require simply a little bit of lift which can be found in the form of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
